Kelly names tech president, Softworld leader retires

January 11, 2022

Kelly (NASDAQ: KELYA, KELYB) named Michael Tolk as president of Kelly Technology and Softworld, effective earlier this month. In addition, the company reported Dave Teitelman is retiring from his position as president of Softworld following a 40-year career. Teitelman had led Softworld prior to its acquisition by Kelly.

Tolk has more than 30 years of IT services and consulting experience. He joined Kelly in June 2020 and had served as VP of Kelly Technology. Prior to Kelly, Tolk held leadership positions at several companies including DXC Technology, Genpact, Cognizant Technology Solutions and NextCare. He had also served in the US Army as a captain and medevac helicopter pilot.

Tolk will also continue to serve as a member of the Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology and Telecom leadership team, reporting to Hugo Malan, president of Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology and Telecom.

In addition, Softworld will continue operating as a separate Kelly company under its existing brand. Kelly had announced the $215.0 million acquisition of Waltham, Massachusetts-based Softworld in April 2021. Both Kelly and Softworld ranked individually on the most recent list of largest IT staffing providers released by SIA, which is based on 2020 revenue.
