Japan-based staffing firm Persol’s US growth platform TS2 acquires three California staffing firms

February 07, 2018

TS2 Holdings LLC acquired three California companies in the executive recruiting space. The acquisitions include Neohire South, a recruiting company with offices in Santa Monica and Tarzana, Calif., that targets tech and non-tech recruiting for top venture capitalists and technology startups across the US; RockIT Recruiting, a tech recruiting company headquartered in San Francisco; and Hero.jobs, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based recruiter and recruiting software company.

TS2 is the US growth platform of Japanese staffing giant Persol Group.

Through its Temp Innovation Fund and access to other funding sources, TS2 makes strategic investments in HR technologies and the US startup ecosystem. It is led by CEO Yoshimi Iyadomi Shinohara, the niece of  Yoshiko Shinohara, founder of Persol and Japan’s first self-made woman billionaire.

“The acquisition of these three companies will provide the foundational elements of our core business strategy,” said Yoshimi Iyadomi. “When you combine the expertise and energy of the employees, industry knowledge and creativity of the management team, with the broader reach and resources of the combined group, there's a tremendous opportunity for geometric growth. The integrated businesses give TS2 Holdings LLC the opportunity to build a differentiated recruiting model supported by a cutting-edge and tailored software platform that can be leveraged across all major tech markets in the US.”
