This National Locum Tenens organization has proclaimed this week as “National Locum Tenens Week.”

It’s the first time the organization has proclaimed a week dedicated to locum tenens. It aims to have the week serve as an annual platform to recognize physicians and advanced practitioners.

“This is an opportunity for our industry to show our appreciation for locum tenens physicians and the difference they make in meeting the needs for healthcare across every community,” NALTO President Stacey Stanley said.

The locum tenens segment of the staffing industry has been growing quickly in recent years, and revenue is set to grow 6% this year to approximately $3.6 billion, according to the latest industry forecast by Staffing Industry Analysts.
