Broad Waverly Staffing, a firm based in Monmouth County, NJ, was acquired by a private investor Mary Mason at the end of August, according to announcement last week by the Benjamin Ross Group. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
Mason has a background in IT and previously worked as an independent consultant, although not through Broad Waverly. She had been looking for an entrepreneurial opportunity when Benjamin Ross Group, a mergers and acquisitions/business brokerage firm she was familiar with, suggested the investment.
Established more than 33 years ago, Broad Waverly targets New Jersey’s Monmouth and Ocean Counties and places temporary and permanent staff in clerical, light industrial, manufacturing, accounting and administrative roles. Mason plans to build its IT and professional staffing verticals in 2018.
Broad Waverly counts gross sales of about $2.9 million and has about 70 temporary employees on its current payroll. It has a full-time staff of six, including two recruiters.
