Healthcare staffing provider Health Carousel named Earl Dalton as chief nursing officer, a new position within the firm.

Dalton most recently was director of emergency services at TriHealth Health System. Prior to joining TriHealth in 2011, he was executive director of nursing at Stamford Health System in Stamford, Conn.

Health Carousel operates three divisions: travel nursing; locum tenens; and its international healthcare staffing division, which provides physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical technologists and registered nurses. It currently has three offices but will open a fourth next month as it relocates its Cincinnati headquarters office to Rookwood tower in Norwood from East Walnut Hills neighborhood to accommodate growth.

Health Carousel has 800 employees, including internal staff and healthcare professionals, and makes placements nationwide.
