Healthcare staffing provider Health Advocates Network Holdings Corp. announced an $8.4 million funding round that includes a co-investment by management.
It’s the second round of funding at the Boca Raton, Florida-based firm, which had announced a $7.0 million round in July 2020.
Health Advocates Network is led by Kevin Little, its chairman, CEO and co-founder. Little is also the former CEO of Accountable Healthcare Staffing and a co-founder and former president and CFO of Medical Staffing Network.
The funding round follows a pair of acquisitions at the company. It announced the acquisition of Staff Today Inc., a Los Angeles-based healthcare staffing firm, last April. In addition, last October it acquired Acclivity Healthcare, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based provider of nonclinical staffing to hospitals and physician offices.
Health Advocates Network Holdings anticipates a third round of funding this year, and it’s planning to close another acquisition this quarter.
