Feds allege former staffing exec demanded fees for work visas (The San Diego Union-Tribune)

March 10, 2017

A former executive for two Arizona companies that provide mechanics for airlines is accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars from 20 of his employees for his help securing them work and residency visas, The San Diego Union-Tribune reports. As VP of operations, Eleno “Max” Quinteros Jr. was responsible for recruiting workers for airline mechanic jobs and helped get them US employer-sponsored work visas. He is accused of asking for payment for the applications, costs supposed to be paid by the employer. The indictment does not name the companies; one of which he was part owner.
