US Citizenship and Immigration Services is temporarily suspending fast processing of H-1B visa applications from for-profit firms until Sept. 10, the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper reported. The move comes a few weeks before the agency is to begin accepting H-1B applications for the next federal fiscal year. H-1B visas are used to bring in highly skilled foreign workers such as technology professionals.
