Express franchisee says opioid crisis affecting job market (NPR)

NPR reported the opioid crisis is looming over the job market, worrying employers and economists. Employers tell Nate Miller, the owner of an Express Employment Professionals’ office in Muncie, Ind., said they could build and sell more if they could hire and keep more workers, but his staffing business can't keep up because a third of job applicants fail pre-employment drug tests — these days, almost always for opioids.
