TYGES, an executive and professional search firm targeting the manufacturing and supply chain, acquired Arlington Heights, Ill.-based MRA Global Sourcing LLC.

MRA Global Sourcing provides executive search within the procurement function. It counts five internal staff stateside and about another five offshore.

TYGES will open its fourth office in Schaumburg, Ill., to accommodate merging the firms; MRA founder and owner Naseem Malik will lead the new office as managing partner. 

“This is a good opportunity to expand our offerings in a common space that we both play in,” Malik told SIA.

The transaction closed June 1 and was made public June 28; terms were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Williamsburg, Va., TYGES is an executive and professional search firm placing mostly at manufacturing and supply chain organizations. It now counts four offices and 35 associates.
“Naseem and his team will bolster our supply chain and procurement depth while at the same time leverage our capabilities to assist their clients with other talent needs in the areas of operations, distribution, sales, marketing, engineering, human resources, and finance,” said TYGES founder and CEO Tim Saumier.

The company in the next 24 months plans to acquire more firms with backgrounds in manufacturing, supply chain and distribution — specifically on the West Coast as well as in the Southwest and Northeast.
