Engineering majors from the class of 2018 have a projected average starting salary of $66,521, the highest of all majors, according to a report by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Computer science graduates are projected to receive the second-highest starting salary at $66,005.
Both fields are up less than 1% from last year.
Data for the report came from NACE’s Winter 2018 Salary Survey, which included 196 survey responses collected between Aug. 9 and Dec. 4 in the US.
