E-verify does not replace I-9 obligation — Staffing quote of the week

“Golden Employment should serve as a warning to employers who use the E-verify program that E-verify is not intended to replace an employer’s obligation to prepare and maintain I-9 forms for each of its employees,” Cole Heyer of Greenberg Traurig LLP wrote in a Lexology post on a judge’s decision over a staffing firm’s handling of I-9 forms that resulted in a penalty for the staffing firm.
