DoorDash, listed in SIA human cloud report, raises $400 million in funding round

February 22, 2019

On demand food-delivery firm DoorDash announced in a blog post Thursday that it raised $400 million in a Series F round. The investment values the company at $7.1 billion.

SIA classifies some of DoorDash’s operations as being part of the human cloud ecosystem. DoorDash’s human cloud spend — which does not include revenue from nonhuman cloud operations within the company — was estimated at $383 million in 2017.

DoorDash, headquartered in San Francisco, said it now has operations in 3,300 cities and serves 80% of the US population.

Temasek and Dragoneer Investment Group co-led the funding round, with participation from existing investors, Softbank Vision Fund, DST Global, Coatue Management, GIC, Sequoia Capital and Y Combinator.

Last year, the company also raised $535 million in a Series D financing led by SoftBank Group and $250 million in a funding round co-led by Coatue Management and DST Global.
