Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASD: CCRN) appointed Timothy Fischer as the new president of the company’s locum tenens business, Medical Doctor Associates, effective today. Fischer's experience includes serving in executive roles, most recently as COO for Mitchell Martin Inc. in New York.

Fischer replaces B. Franklin Phillips, who left the company.

Medical Doctor Associates provides locum tenens and allied health staffing. It is headquartered outside of Atlanta, with regional offices in Dallas and Troy, Mich., as well as staffing consultants nationwide.
