CorTech acquires MSI International

October 03, 2016

Staffing provider CorTech LLC acquired the assets of MSI International, a 48-year-old recruiting firm also based in Atlanta.

The transaction closed Sept. 30; it follows a joint venture agreement between the two firms signed earlier this year. Terms were not disclosed.

MSI will rebrand as “MSI International, a CorTech Company,” and several MSI executive will remain with the new company, including CEO Eric Lindberg and MSI management team members Wayne Whatley, Jim Watson, Larry Klos, David Dietz, Laurelle Williams and Steven Caines.

“I believe over the last seven to eight months I personally have learned that the CorTech’s businesses and the MSI fee based solution are drastically different,” said CorTech CEO Vincent Rossy. “The lessons learned through the joint venture agreement period were very valuable and provided the opportunity to start the merger with the knowledge of cultures and processes required to achieve continued success for both organizations.”

Atlanta-based Cortech in January stated it aims to add up to $110 million in sales via acquisitions by the end of the year and is on target to achieving that goal. In June, it acquired New York state-based Penski Staffing. In 2015, it acquired Richmond, Va.-based Partnership Staffing; Wisconsin-based Integrated Staffing; Job Express of Wyoming, which operates as JEX Staffing; the assets of Integrated Staffing; and Southern California-based RecruitPro Inc.
