October 17, 2022

Hill International Inc. (NYSE: HIL) was awarded a contract to provide staff augmentation support to the Southern California Regional Rail Authority. Hill announced the deal last week with the authority, which operates the Metrolink commuter rail system in Southern California. The deal calls for assisting with a systemwide track, structure and signal rehabilitation program.

Metrolink operates seven commuter rail lines and more than 60 stations across 538 route miles of track in the Southern California counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura.

Hill is supporting work that includes replacing approximately 27,000 rail ties as well as replacement of rails and rehabilitating 16 turnouts among other aspects of the project.

Hill, based in Philadelphia, provides services to the building, transportation, environment, energy and industrial markets. It has more than 3,000 professionals in 100 offices worldwide.

In August, Hill announced it struck a deal to be acquired by Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. The deal valued Hill at $173 million. The deal is expected to close in this quarter.
