Contract watch: Beeline VMS, greenbean RPO announce contracts with UK organizations

September 26, 2017

Beeline announced a VMS deal with UK-based Nationwide Building Society, the largest building society in the world, providing financial services and mortgages. Separately, RPO provider greenbean announced an RPO deal with the UK-based Darlington Building Society.

In the Beeline deal, Nationwide has a contingent workforce totaling 25% of its total staffing. Contingent workers include traditional temporary workers and contractors through to consultants and staff who provide a range of support services from cleaning to catering to security.

Nationwide’s contingent workers are sourced through a number of suppliers and statement-of-work, managed services, outsourcing and consulting firms.

“Companies who want to build agility, efficiencies and strategic advantage can’t afford to disregard the skills and expertise of flexible workers,” said Katrina Hutchinson-O’Neill, director of resourcing at Nationwide, “nor to have a diluted focus on the controls and management of this population in comparison to those in place for more traditional labor models.”

Nationwide is based in Swindon, England.

Separately, greenbean by NRG announced today a recruitment process outsourcing agreement with the Darlington Building Society, which has 10 branches in the UK and is based in Darlington, England. Darlington has been in business for more than 160 years.

Darlington is undergoing a period of digitalization. Niki Barker, HR executive at Darlington, said the move will allow human resources to focus on more HR-related matters and people development.
