Contract watch: Alexander Mann’s total talent acquisition deal and more

May 09, 2016

A number of staffing deals have been publicly announced since mid-April, including Alexander Mann Solutions’ signing of one of the few total talent acquisition contracts that have been publicly announced. The five-year total talent acquisition deal is with Verifone, a global provider of point-of-sale payment solutions.

The deal calls for Alexander Mann to provide end-to-end talent acquisition services for regular, full-time employees as well as flexible and contract workers, which include those who come through temp agencies, independent contractors and payrolled workers.

Alexander Mann will handle services such as employer branding, candidate experience, assessment and measurement of candidate experience. Other services, such as exit interviews, are not in scope at this time.

The contract differs from a recruitment process outsourcing deal in that RPO typically covers outsourcing of full-time hiring, according to the company. This deal also includes contingent, temporary worker, independent contractors and payrolled workers.

All geographies in which Verifone operates are included in the deal, but the value of the contract was not announced. It formally started in the December/January timeframe with go-live dates by individual region. Full implementation will be complete this summer.

Verifone employs more than 5,500 people around the world and is based in San Jose, Calif.

Separately, other deals publicly announced by staffing and workforce solutions ecosystem firms include:

  • Professional Educational Services Group will source substitute teachers for the Rutherford County Schools for the 2016-2017 academic year. The district is in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Professional Educational Services Group guarantees that an average of 97% of absences will be filled.  The company also announced that substitutes who work more than 10 days a month will receive bonuses and retired teachers are eligible for additional bonuses.
  • Trigyn Technologies announced it received an IT staff augmentation contract from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. The contract will last one year with four one-year renewal options. Trigyn will provide business analysts, technical writers, trainers, project managers, applications systems testers and more.
  • Noor Staffing Group announced it was awarded two contracts by the New York Racing Association to provide more than 1,600 temporary workers for the Belmont Stakes and Saratoga Race Course. Noor Staffing will supply 1,200 mutual clerks (who sell racing tickets), white caps, brand ambassadors and more for the Belmont Stakes. For the Saratoga Race Course, Noor Staffing will provide 400 mutual clerks.
