October 31, 2022

Akima announced Thursday that its subsidiary, Akima Infrastructure Services, was awarded a four-year, $63 million contract by Consolidated Nuclear Security to provide staff augmentation support to the Department of Energy Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas.

Akima Infrastructure Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Akima, an Alaska Native Corp., supporting government missions with specialized skill sets. The contract calls for Akima Infrastructure Services and its partners, Strata-G, LLC and Pinnacle Specialty Group, to provide engineering, professional and technical services to address specific project needs.

“Supporting the Department of Energy’s mission has been a long-standing focus for Akima,” said Duncan Greene, president of Akima’s mission systems, engineering and technology group.

“This award from Consolidated Nuclear Security will allow us to continue this partnership and provide the Department of Energy with support to operate critical nuclear security facilities effectively and efficiently.”

Akima is a global enterprise with more than 8,000 employees; it provides agile solutions to the federal government in facilities, maintenance and repair, IT, logistics, protective services, systems engineering, mission support, furniture, fixtures and equipment, and construction.
