The CWS Summit North America is this week, with the program beginning on Tuesday and continuing through Wednesday. The event brings together contingent workforce managers, staffing suppliers and others to discuss and learn about the latest trends affecting the contingent workforce — including agency workers, statement-of-work consultants and others. More than 1,000 attendees are expected.

Up for discussion will be risk management, program design, best practices and technology — including vendor management systems and managed service providers.

The theme is “the intersection of talent and technology.”

It will include a hackathon, during which contingent workforce managers from different companies form teams to solve contingent workforce challenges.

The CWS Summit North America also follows Staffing Industry Analysts’ release of the Game Changers List of Contingent Workforce managers, listing executives from around the world who are leading innovation in the contingent workforce space.

The Summit is taking place in Dallas at the Omni Hotel; it will be followed by the Collaboration in the Gig Economy conference, which will cover the latest developments in the gig economy — from online staffing and human cloud platforms to the newest advances in technology.
