Comrise Inc., a staffing and consulting company serving clients in the US and greater China, named Shelly Carolan as the organization’s new US president, effective Feb. 29. She replaces Sincia Liu, who steps up to become the president of Comrise Holding Inc.    

Carolan most recently was chief sales and marketing officer at telemedicine company SOC. She previously spent 11 years at On Assignment Inc. (NYSE: ASGN); her last position there was as the executive VP of the lab support division in 2005.

“Shelly is a gem of a find as she is a complete package,” said Liu. “Not only has she risen through the ranks to a senior executive position in a very successful public staffing company, she also has a wealth of experience growing privately held companies. She is exactly who we need to take our company to the next level while we look to continuously expand our services in cross border staffing from the US to Asia and vice versa.”

Carolan will be based at the company’s US headquarters in Hazlet, NJ.

Comrise operates eight offices globally and total revenue in 2015 exceeded $28.7 million.

The firm had 851 total placements globally in 2015: 288 in the US, 505 in China, and 58 in Hong Kong. Comrise counts 171 in-house employees globally: 28 in the US, 16 in Hong Kong and 127 in mainland China. It has 200 consultants on billing in the US, while China is all direct hire placements.
