Aya Healthcare, a provider of travel nursing and workforce solutions to hospitals, acquired HealthCare Select, which provides VMS and MSP services to help hospitals manage their contingent labor.

The transaction closed Nov. 1; terms were not disclosed.

HealthCare Select will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Aya and become the vendor-neutral offering in Aya’s workforce solutions to hospitals across the US.

HealthCare Select executives will remain with the company and its headquarters will relocate from Dana Point, Calif., to Aya Healthcare’s headquarters in San Diego.

Aya Healthcare ranks No. 3 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ most recent list of largest US providers of travel nurse staffing. Prior to the acquisition, Aya Healthcare had 494 corporate employees and HealthCare Select had 23 employees.
