Ascendo Resources, a staffing and consulting firm that specializes in corporate recruitment, acquired Jacksonville, Florida-based Angie’s Staffing. 

Ascendo already had a presence in Florida, including the Jacksonville market, but the acquisition is expected to yield greater exposure and faster growth.

“The Florida market generates a big chunk of our revenue and we are eager to continue thriving in more cities,” said Ascendo Managing Partner Gustavo Peña said.

Angie Langlois, founder and president of Angie’s Staffing, and her husband and co-founder Pete Langlois, will remain with the firm as partners.

Pete Langlois also hosts the weekend radio show “Hard Work-ah with Pete the Job Guy” on WOKV, dispensing career advice to the workforce.

Ascendo has revenue of more than $35 million. It has more than 100 recruiters, 300 consultants and 12 offices nationwide. Its targeted sectors include accounting, finance, banking, compliance, healthcare, legal, IT, human resources and administration.
