Alexander Mann Solutions rebrands to AMS as company evolves its offering

January 12, 2021

Alexander Mann Solutions is rebranding to AMS effective today as the company continues to evolve with the times.

Clients and internal workers often referred to the company as AMS in the past, said Nicola Hancock, managing director – Americas region, at AMS. However, the name change also reflects the company’s growth and how it is working to meet the evolving needs of clients. AMS is traditionally known as a provider of recruitment process outsourcing, but Hancock said discussions with clients around the nature of solutions has progressed over time to beyond just putting a person in a seat. They now include questions on how companies find the right skills, maintain diversity and more.

“Organizations have to be much more strategic about how they find skill sets,” Hancock said. “The types of discussions that we are having are much more than how do we fill this role.”

Workforces have to be more resilient and fluid; Hancock cited the examples of banks, some of which moved internal workers into customer-facing positions amid the pandemic to meet demand as customer calls grew. Hiring new people could not have been done quickly enough. In addition to fluidity and resilience, companies also have to think about how they find the right skills and encourage diversity — which has become even more important during the last year.

The changes come amid the effects of Covid-19, which also disrupted companies, requiring remote work.

AMS still provides RPO for traditional and contingent workers at full scale, for projects or for specific aspects of hiring. It also provides talent advisory services, which include consulting on employment marketing, technology, diversity and inclusion, and consulting on optimizing talent acquisition services. Other business lines at AMS include consulting on reskilling workers and a platform called Hourly, which enables companies to hire hourly workers.
