Airswift names new CEO, other exec changes

June 20, 2018

Airswift, a staffing provider for the energy, process and infrastructure sectors, announced current COO Janette Marx will become the group CEO. Marx replaces current CEO Peter Searle, who will take on the role of executive chairman. Meanwhile, Chairman Ian Langley, who founded the company 30 years ago, becomes the senior independent director.

The personnel moves will help Airswift tap international market opportunities, according to the company.

“I am more confident than ever about our prospects,” Langley said. “I believe these new, better defined, roles for the senior team will help concentrate our top minds to deliver even more for our clients and the business.”

Airswift ranks No. 10 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2017 list of largest engineering staffing firms in the US. It counts more than 60 offices worldwide.

Marx joined Airswift in 2014 as COO. She held a similar role at Swift Worldwide Resources, and helped orchestrate its merger with Air Energi Group in 2016 to form Airswift Holdings. Marx previously held various leadership roles with The Adecco Group over a 19-year period.

Marx is included on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2017 Global Power 100 – Women in Staffing list.

“As a management team we are looking forward to the next phase of Airswift’s journey,” Searle said. “Janette has excelled as COO, demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities. She is hugely ambitious for both our clients’ businesses and our own. And she possesses precisely the right combination of operational experience and passion for customer care to meet those ambitions. I know she will inspire our people to achieve even more.”
