March 23, 2021

Staffing provider ASGN Inc. (NYSE: ASGN) announced several changes to its board, including the retirement of Chairman Jeremy Jones effective June 18; Arshad Matin will take on the role at that time.

Matin has been a board member since June 2014. He also currently serves as president and CEO of Avetta LLC, a firm that provides supply chain risk management.

Prior to Avetta, Matin was director, president and CEO of Paradigm Ltd., a software developer for the oil and gas industry. He had also served as executive VP of the company that is now IHS Markit.

“Since Jerry’s appointment as chairman of the board in 2003, ASGN’s market cap has grown from approximately $130 million to roughly $5 billion through a combination of organic and acquisitive growth,” ASGN President and CEO Ted Hanson said. “Although Jerry’s shoes will be difficult to fill, I am more than confident that Arshad is fully capable and ready to step into this very important role.”

ASGN also announced the appointment of two new independent directors to its board: Carol Lindstrom and Vice Admiral Joseph Dyer (ret.). Lindstrom and Dyer are members of the board’s strategy and technology committee.

“Carol offers a wealth of experience growing and managing large-scale commercial-focused technology practices, while Joe’s deep knowledge of federal procurement and corporate strategy will be a great asset to ASGN,” Hanson said. “As Carol and Joe have already served as advisers to our board, I expect their transition into the director role will be seamless.”

Lindstrom is an advisor at investment firm Carrick Capital Partners; prior to that, she served as vice chair at Deloitte LLP.

Lindstrom had first joined Deloitte in 1993 to build its technology consulting practice. She also served as managing director of Deloitte’s Orange County, California, and San Francisco consulting practices as well as managing director in Deloitte’s Americas technology and e-business and digital practices. Before Deloitte, Lindstrom was a partner at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture plc.
