AMN reports exec reorganization, professional services and staffing president to retire

AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AMN), the largest US healthcare staffing firm in terms of revenue, reported longtime executive Ralph Henderson will retire from the company effective May 1. The company announced other organizational changes in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Administration.

Henderson is president, professional services and staffing, at AMN. He had joined the company in September 2008 as president, nurse and allied staffing. Prior to AMN, he was senior VP, group executive, at Spherion Inc. He also is a board member of online staffing platform Wonolo Inc. and was inducted this year into the Staffing 100 Hall of Fame.

Henderson’s role will be eliminated as part of a reorganization effective March 8 that also includes:

  • Appointing Mark Hagan as chief information and digital officer and executive officer. Hagan had been chief information officer.
  • Promoting Landry Seedig to group president and chief operating officer, nurse and allied solutions. Seedig previously was president, nurse staffing solutions.
  • Appointing Kelly Rakowski to the newly created role of group president and chief operating officer, strategic talent solutions. She had been president, leadership and search solutions.
  • Expanding Dr. Cole Edmonson’s role to chief experience and clinical officer.

AMN will also be adding the role of group president and operating officer, physician and leadership solutions.

The company said the organizational changes come as part of its continued evolution, recent acquisitions, significant growth and to better align its structure with its strategy.

In addition, AMN reported that board member Andrew Stern will not stand for reelection at the company’s 2020 annual meeting.
