Private-sector employers added 179,000 jobs in July, according to the ADP National Employment. That is slightly better than what economists expected, but the report continues showing a trend of slowing job growth, Barron’s reports. In other economic news, Barron’s also reports the Institute for Supply Management announced that its nonmanufacturing index fell to a reading of 55.5 in July from 56.5 in June, near the level economists had expected.
