A leading authority on workforce solutions worldwide, Barry Asin is renowned for his expertise on staffing and contingent labor. He served as Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) president from 2010 through 2024 with overall responsibility for the company’s global strategy, operations and growth. Asin has been with the company since 2003, where he previously led the team responsible for SIA’s award-winning research and content. As chief analyst he continues to focus on developing SIA’s thought leadership, conference content, long-term strategy and product development. Asin is co-author of Breaking Through: Leadership Disciplines from Top Performing Staffing Firms. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, sharing essential insights on leadership as well as the challenges, opportunities and rapid transformations around work today. Asin has been quoted in major business and industry publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, BusinessWeek, Inc. Magazine, The Atlantic, Bloomberg Business, CNBC, Marketplace and MarketWatch among others. Asin is also a member of the Forbes Human Resources Council. Prior to joining SIA, Asin spent nearly 12 years as a senior executive at global staffing leader Adecco SA. Before Adecco, he had operations management positions with PepsiCo. Asin began his professional career with Andersen Consulting, the predecessor of Accenture. He has a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Princeton University. Barry is a native of Buffalo, New York. He can be found frequently biking as well as hiking in the hills and along the coast near his home in Palo Alto, California.

Brian Wallins is research director for Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), responsible for leading global research of talent acquisition technology. Wallins has been with SIA since 2017. He brought six years of experience in equity research of technology companies covering the enterprise software sector for Gleacher & Company, formerly known as  Broadpoint Securities Group. Additionally, he had various corporate strategy and finance roles at Getaround, Hire On-Demand and Calypso Technology (acquired by Nasdaq). Wallins has a Master of Business Administration from Bentley University and passed level one of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) exam.

Maxim Kupfer is an Interactive Research Developer at Staffing Industry Analysts. He develops interactive tools/applications that allow SIA’s customers to more easily explore and leverage data sets. Maxim comes from a financial background and worked in banking prior to joining SIA. He graduated from Chapman University with degrees in Economics and Computer Science, and passed the CFA Level III exam.

Timothy Landhuis is vice president of research at Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). He oversees a range of research studies, research products and presentations on behalf of SIA’s North America-based research team. Since joining SIA in 2011, Landhuis has authored reports such as the United States Staffing Industry Forecast, Largest Staffing Firms in the United States, the Staffing Industry Benchmarking Consortium (SIBC) Benchmarking Study and the Workforce Solutions Buyers Survey. This is in addition to reports on industrial staffing, education staffing and the Canadian staffing industry. Landhuis has guided the development of data tools on compensation rates, mergers and acquisitions, and staffing industry size and growth rates by occupation and geographic regions. He is a frequent presenter and moderator at industry conferences and events. Prior to joining SIA, Landhuis worked as a financial analyst and recruiter at leading firms in the semiconductor, software and financial services sectors. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
