ZRG acquired the Aspen Leadership Group, an executive search provider specializing in nonprofits and education institutions, in a deal that closed Feb. 1. Its recent clients include Carnegie Mellon University and The Humane Society of the United States.
The acquisition bolsters ZRG’s operations in the education sector, according to the firm. Its offerings already include The Registry, a provider of interim leadership for academic institutions; TurnkeyZRG, which has a focus on college sports recruiting; and Helbling & Associates, which conducts searches for real estate and facilities executives in academia.
“The addition of Aspen Leadership Group is nothing short of transformative,” Larry Hartmann, CEO of ZRG, said in a press release.
Aspen’s expertise will complement ZRG’s education practice, Hartmann said.
“Aspen Leadership Group is the gold standard in consultative, trusted search for the education and nonprofit sector,” Rosa Morris, ZRG Education’s global market lead, said in a press release.
Ron Schiller, managing director and founding partner of the Aspen Leadership Group, will remain with the combined company.
Terms of the transaction were not announced.
