Zeal, a San Francisco-based automated payroll platform, on Oct. 10 announced the close of a $15 million Series B funding round. It aims to use the funds to introduce new services.
The company serves staffing companies, gig work platforms and HR service providers.
“With this new funding, we’ll continue innovating to help businesses streamline operations, offer new services and launch best-in-class worker experiences quickly,” Zeal CEO and co-founder Kirti Shenoy said in a press release.
The round was led by global investment platform Portage with participation from existing investors Spark Capital and Commerce Ventures.
Zeal was founded in 2019. Its clients include Wonolo, Qwick, Lawtrades, Band of Hands and WorkGenius.
