Will of Work, a Japan-based temporary staffing firm and part of the Will Group, announced that it has acquired a stake in Refcome, a firm also based in Japan that develops and operates services specialising in referral recruitment in the HR recruitment market.
The price and the amount of shares acquired were not disclosed; however, the acquisition was categorised as a minority acquisition, according to MarketLine.
Refcome said it would welcome members of Will of Work to its company, strengthen its customer support system for its existing business, and take on the challenge of further expanding its referral recruitment support business.
Refcome has a track record of supporting a wide range of recruitment, both full-time and part-time. Since 2022, the company has been expanding its referral support services.
Will of Work said in a press release, “With this acquisition of shares, we have determined that the addition of services in the referral recruitment field, which we do not yet own, will strengthen our sales capabilities and expand our business, and that we will be able to acquire new recruitment channels and create new businesses for the services we provide, thereby increasing our value as a ‘change agent that positively transforms individuals and organisations’.”
“We will continue to provide new options to help resolve the recruitment difficulties and labour shortages that many companies face,” the company stated.
