Main article
TalentBurst, a Massachusetts-based staffing firm, announced on Sept. 10 that it made a strategic investment in talent platform Publicist.
The company is basically a platform for marketing and creative freelancers, TalentBurst CEO and founder Brad Talwar said in an interview with SIA.
Both freelancers and client firms can discover one another on the Publicist platform. Freelancers can also be paid through it. Its functionality includes operating as an employer-of-record or agency-of-record. In addition, clients can use Publicist as a résumé search engine. Talwar noted the company has 30,000 vetted marketing/creative freelancers. It’s led by CEO and founder Lara Vandenberg.
Publicist began operations two years ago, and TalentBurst’s investment represents a seed funding round.
The company’s customers include ServiceNow, Accenture, Fox and SeaWorld.
