Staffing and outsourcing firm Yoh appointed John Comito as president, moving him up from his previous role as senior VP of staffing. Comito has more than 20 years of finance and operations experience in staffing and workforce solutions.

Comito takes over from longtime Yoh President Emmett McGrath, who is becoming co-chairman.

“This transition marks a pivotal moment in Yoh’s history, and I’m excited about the future of Yoh under John’s leadership,” Hal Yoh, chair and CEO of parent company Day & Zimmermann, said in a press release. “John’s extensive experience, industry expertise and multidecade tenure with Yoh and Day & Zimmermann are invaluable assets to our business and make him the ideal individual to lead the company into its next chapter.”

Comito will be responsible for day-to-day operations at Yoh as well as the execution of the company’s long-term strategic plan.

He joined the company in 2005 and was named director of finance at Yoh before joining Day & Zimmermann’s finance and accounting department in 2015. He rejoined Yoh in 2018, where his roles included CFO before becoming senior VP of staffing.

“The future of Yoh is bright, and with the invaluable support of Hal and Emmett, I look forward to guiding the organization toward continued success,” Comito said in a press release.

Yoh, based in Philadelphia, ranks No. 56 on SIA’s list of largest US staffing firms. Its business includes IT and engineering staffing.

For his part, McGrath has been president of Yoh since April 2017 after serving in various roles at the company from 1985 to 2004.

McGrath started at Yoh as a recruiter, moving up to branch and district manager as well as leader of Yoh’s west and central regions.

“As co-chairman, his expertise and strategic insights will continue to shape our future, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the talent and workforce solutions industry,” Hal Yoh said.

McGrath will focus on key customer relationships, the pursuit of acquisitions and the optimization of Yoh’s business.

“In this new role, I look forward not only to ensuring continuity in Yoh’s executive leadership but also working with Hal to solidify our market leadership and industry reputation,” McGrath said.
