SMS Co revenue up 14.7% with growth across business segments

SMS Co. Ltd. (2175:TYO), a Tokyo-based provider of healthcare staffing and elderly care services, reported revenue of JPY 17.42 billion (USD 115.9 million), an increase of 14.7% over the year, according to its report published on 26 July 2024.

In the career field, revenue for first quarter stood at JPY 12.1 billion (USD 80.4 million), up 12.4% from the same period last year. The group said both nursing and medical careers grew steadily, backed by businesses’ strong desire to hire.

In the nursing care and disability welfare business field, revenue stood at JPY 824 million (USD 5.5 million), a 24.0% increase from the same period last year.

Revenue in the overseas field was JPY 1.71 billion (USD 11.3 million), a 13.4% increase from the same period last year. Revenue in the Business Development segment for the first quarter stood at JPY 730 million (USD 4.8 million), up 23.3% over the year.

Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue of JPY 65.66 billion (USD 436.5 million) for the year ended 31 March 2025.

SMS Co shares closed on 26 July at JPY 2,005.50 (USD 13.34), down 0.17% on the day. The company has a market cap of JPY 190.05 billion (USD 1.26 billion).
