SGF Global acquired the offices and operations of Adecco Uruguay effective Sept. 1. 

The acquisition is a testament to SGF Global’s commitment to Latin America, SGF Global CEO Mauricio Sion said in a press release.  

“Bringing Adecco Uruguay into our global network shows our dedication to the region and enhances our emphasis on nearshoring and EOR, which are designed to meet the globalization needs of our clients,” Sion said. 

SGF Global is making the acquisition now to invest in the Latin America region as nearshoring is gaining momentum, the company said in a note to SIA. It also sees great potential in the operations. In addition, the company noted there is concern about a possible recession in the US. 

The deal also brings in new clients and a team of skilled professionals with Adecco Uruguay staff moving to SGF Global. 

SGF Global operates in more than 30 countries and provides staffing, statement of work, recruitment process outsourcing, employer-of-record services, payroll services, training and more. For its part, Adecco’s Uruguayan operations have been in business for more than 20 years. 

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
