Swedish staffing firm Pion Group (POOL-B: STO) announced its Poolia segment has been awarded a framework agreement with the Swedish National Education Agency.

From April of 2025, Poolia will implement and organise the central correction of national tests in English and Swedish at various levels. Central correction will help counteract unequal grading and free up time for teachers.

The framework agreement is implemented in collaboration with three external suppliers to recruit licensed and qualified teachers for the roles of assessor and main assessor, which is a crucial part of the assignment. The central correction focuses on the sub-tests that assess written production (such as essays).

The total economic value of the agreement is estimated at approximately SEK 720 million (€62.2 million), corresponding to approximately SEK 240 million (€20.7 million) per supplier, excluding VAT (value-added tax). This applies to the full use of all extension possibilities and possible options.

The agreement begins in April 2025 and runs until 2029, followed by the possibility of four 1-year extensions.

“The goal is to ensure that the task is carried out smoothly and efficiently - both for the assessors and for the Swedish National Agency for Education’s project organisation,” said Poolia in a press release.
