Swedish logistics and staffing firm Speed announced Hans Sahlin as the new CEO. Sahlin previously served as Deputy CEO of the company. He took over his new role with effect from 8 January 2025, succeeding Jesper Andersson, one of Speed Group’s founders and CEO since 2022.  Andersson will move into an advisory role.

Sahlin has a leadership and business development background at logistics and property companies. Since his recruitment as Deputy CEO, he has played an important role in driving strategic initiatives and ensuring Speed’s continued positive development.

UK-based workforce management solutions firm Matrix announced the appointment of Leslie Weare as its new business director. The appointment is part of Matrix’s expansion strategy. Weare will report directly to chief strategic officer Suzi Smith and be part of the strategic team responsible for driving growth across new market sectors.

Weare brings over 29 years of leadership experience in the health and social care staffing industry. Most recently, she served as senior business director at Hays where she spearheaded the growth of health and social care partnerships across the South and East regions. Her career also includes senior roles at Reed Health & Care and The Prince’s Trust where she demonstrated a strong ability to develop strategies, empower high-performing teams and foster long-term partnerships. In her role at Matrix, Weare will oversee client satisfaction, revenue optimisation and contract renewals.

French staffing firm Mare Nostrum announced it is strengthening its division, which is dedicated to supporting companies in temporary work, with the appointment of Marion Sauvanaud as key accounts director at the national level to develop customer relations, monitor contracts, and manage the commercial performance of this branch.

Sauvanaud has over 15 years of experience in business-to-business sales and customer relationship management. She worked within the Point P group for 10 years, where she held the positions of business-to-business technical sales representative and then sales and customer satisfaction manager in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. In 2022, she became area director at Zolpan, where she led a team of 12 people, including five-point of sales managers, and was responsible for managing sales performance, customer development/loyalty and operational management of several agencies. She joined the Mare Nostrum group in June 2024 as business development manager at subsidiary TridenTT before being promoted to key accounts director at the national level in December 2024.
