Robert Walters (RWA:LSE) appointed David Barr as recruitment outsourcing chief operating officer with responsibility for global growth. Barr is returning to Robert Walters and has over 20 years of experience at the firm, where he spent time in the company’s Specialist Professional Recruitment and Recruitment Outsourcing service lines. He was a cofounder of Resource Solutions’ Asia Pacific operations. (Resource Solutions is the previous brand name of the Recruitment Outsourcing service line.) Prior to leaving Resource Solutions and relocating to his home country of Australia, Barr was the Asia Pacific managing director. While away from Robert Walters, Barr held roles at Korn Ferry and Allegis. He will be based in Singapore.

IPSE, a UK-based organisation representing independent workers, announced that CEO Derek Cribb stepped down on 30 August after a four-year tenure. IPSE’s board has begun the process of finding a replacement. In the meantime, IPSE Director of Finance Ankita Patel will fill the role of acting CEO.

Amadeus FiRe (AADX;GER), a staffing and training firm based in Frankfurt, Germany, named Monika Wiederhold as a board member for its training division effective 1 November. Wiederhold has more than 20 years of international management experience and has held positions at Amadeus IT Group and Lufthansa Group.

N2Growth appointed Richard Armstrong as a partner in its London office to spearhead growth of the company’s executive search practice across the UK. Previously, Armstrong founded boutique executive search firm The AJR Partnership.

HR software firm SD Worx named Tim van der Wal as consulting director of SD Worx SAP Solutions in the Netherlands. Van der Wal will report to Alejandro Arco, SAP delivery director. Van der Wal has more than 25 years of experience in human resources IT roles, including at ING Group, Capgemini and UKG. Belgium-based SD Worx recently reported first-half revenue.

Mare Nostrum, a staffing firm based in Grenoble, France, named Ingrid Boulanger as sales director of its Neptune RH recruitment business. Boulanger has more than 15 years of experience in recruitment and formerly served at PageGroup.
