Mitchell Martin acquired eMerging, an IT staffing firm headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.
The transaction closed on Feb. 17 with plans to merge the brand into Mitchell Martin within the next 90 days; financial terms were not disclosed. EMerging’s staff of six — including President and CEO Julie Dunne, who founded eMerging in 2013 — will remain with and continue operating from its headquarters in Omaha.
The acquisition follows Mitchell Martin’s 2022 acquisition of TransTech IT Staffing in Chicago and marks its second acquisition in the Midwest in the past three months; it acquired Kansas City-based AdamsGabbert in late 2024.
“Talent is no longer centralized to the East and West Coast of the country,” Mitchell Martin CEO Gene Holtzman said in a press release. “Our continued growth in the Midwest allows us to attract top-tier talent for our clients. The acquisitions of AdamsGabbert and eMerging Inc. add a group of dynamic talent that will help catapult MMI into the top ESOP in the staffing industry.”

Launched in1984, Mitchell Martin provides IT and healthcare talent to clients the in finance, insurance, life sciences, technology, travel, media and healthcare sectors. The company generates $250 million in annual revenue and is included on SIA’s list of largest staffing firms in the US.
