Matching Service Japan (6539:TYO), a recruitment firm based in Japan, reported revenue yesterday for the nine-month period ended 31 December 2024 of JPY 5.70 billion (USD 37.0 million), surging 68.8% over the same period the year prior.

The company is mainly focused on recruitment services for legal and accounting/finance professions such as attorney, certified public accountant, tax accountant, among others, and management sector jobs, such as accounting, finance, human resources and general affairs, legal, corporate planning, among others.

Revenue from overseas human resources is based on the earnings of FourQuarters Recruitment, a consolidated subsidiary acquired in January 2024.

Since FourQuarters Recruitment financials have been included in the consolidated income statement starting from the first quarter of the current fiscal year, there is no comparable overseas human resources sales data for the third quarter of the previous fiscal year. Revenue in this segment totalled JPY 2.21 billion (USD 14.42 million).

Revenue in the recruitment business increased 5.5%. Revenue in the media sales business was down 27.1%. Revenue from direct recruiting services increased 14.2%

Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue of JPY 8.24 billion (USD 53.6 million) for the year ended 31 March 2025.

Matching Service Japan shares closed at JPY 1,087.00 (USD 7.07), down 0.91% on the day and 12.83% below its 52-week high of JPY 1,247.00 (USD 8.11), set on 29 February 2024. The company has a market cap of JPY 27.42 billion (USD 178.3 million).
