Mastech CEO steps down, firm names new top exec

Mastech Digital (NYSEAMERICAN: MHH) President and CEO Vivek Gupta is stepping down. The Pittsburgh-based IT staffing and services firm appointed Nirav Patel as its new top executive effective Jan. 6, 2025. Patel will also join Mastech’s board.
Gupta had led the company since 2016. His last day with Mastech Digital will be Feb. 28, 2025.
“It has been a fun ride at Mastech Digital wherein I have enjoyed every minute of my nine years at the helm,” Gupta said in a press release. “The company has delivered excellent results in the last many quarters, and I am confident that the positive momentum will continue for the foreseeable future.”
Gupta also appeared on SIA’s 2024 Staffing 100 North America list.
Patel brings more than 20 years of experience as a technology executive. He most recently served as president and CEO of Bristlecone, an IT services firm. Patel’s past roles also include senior VP and global markets leader at Cognizant Technology Solutions.

Mastech ranks as the 46th-largest IT staffing provider in the US.
