Loop, an SCI company, acquired Moorecroft Systems, a provider of IT consulting, including IT staffing.
The deal closed Oct. 11.
“It was one of those rare deals where we think both companies’ clients will be better served as part of this acquisition,” Loop CEO Jason Hodge told SIA.
Alpharetta, Georgia-based Moorecroft brings a 25-year track record of providing services in niche segments. The organization partners with large enterprises to place senior level consultants on ERP projects. Its clients will have access to broader service with more manpower as a result of the acquisition.
Hodge said Loop had known Moorecroft’s owner for quite a while, and acquiring made sense with owner’s retirement.
The companies also had similar cultures, he said.
Terms of the transaction were not announced.
“It brings me great pride and satisfaction to see Moorecroft transitioning to new leadership that shares our values and our unwavering commitment to client success,” Moorecroft founder Neville Saunders said in a press release. “Going forward, we will maintain our standard of excellence while providing expanded resources and opportunities for both our clients and employees.”
Loop, based in Augusta, Georgia, provides IT services, IT staffing and professional staffing (such as call center roles), and parent company SCI has a division focused on anesthesia staffing called SCI Anesthesia Services.
