Staffing provider Lingo Staffing acquired Krown Employment Services, a local staffing firm based out of Pittsburgh.
The strategic acquisition enhances Richmond, Virginia-based Lingo Staffing’s service offerings and increases its geographical footprint in Pittsburgh.
“This acquisition not only strengthens our customer base but also aligns with our long-term vision of expanding our market reach,” Lingo Staffing CEO Derek Pittak said in a press release. “Krown’s dedication to excellence mirrors our values, and together, we will continue to deliver tailored staffing solutions to help businesses thrive.”
The transaction closed Oct. 21; the deal was an asset purchase of client contracts. Lingo absorbed one location and rolled it under its current operation in Pittsburgh.
Lingo Staffing will integrate Krown’s resources and client base into its operations, offering a broader range of services to existing and new clients.
Founded in 2009, Lingo Staffing provides temporary, temp-to-hire and direct-hire staffing solutions with a focus on administrative, light industrial and professional roles. It plans to finish 2024 at $40 million in revenue, averaging 800 associates out billing per week. It has 50 internal employees and 15 offices throughout the US.
Krown Employment Services places talent in various sectors including administrative, clerical, industrial and technical roles. It serves businesses throughout Allegheny, Beaver, Butler and Westmoreland counties.
Krown has been as large as $1million in revenue, averaging around 40 to 50 associates out billing, Lingo Staffing told SIA. It had one office and up to four internal employees.
“Currently, as the owner decided to transition the business, the business is about half the size today with intentions to grow beyond its peak,” Lingo told SIA.
