Lightcast, a global labor market analytics provider, acquired Stratigens, a UK-based talent analytics firm. 

The acquisition aims to enhance Lightcast’s global workforce data capabilities, according to the company.

“With this acquisition, we’re looking forward to increasing our presence in Europe and building upon the solid relationships Stratigens has made in the talent intelligence space,” JP Moran, executive VP of enterprise and staffing at Lightcast, said in a press release.

Newport, Wales-based Stratigens was founded in 2017 by Alison Ettridge. It aims to help companies solve business challenges such as identifying new skill pools; growing skill sets; understanding where to expand, relocate or consolidate and retain talent; and supporting mergers and acquisitions. 

“Lightcast and Stratigens share customer-centric philosophies,” Lightcast CEO Chris Kibarian said in a press release. “Alison’s approach to helping customers make sense of the data with the solid platform her team built is consultative, high touch and collaborative — she’s a true partner.”

Plans call for Ettridge to join Lightcast as director of global talent intelligence.

“With Lightcast and Stratigens coming together, the depth of data quality and intelligence will enable companies to plan competitive talent and growth strategies,” Ettridge said in a press release.

Founded in 2000, Lightcast is a portfolio company of New York-based private equity firm KKR and has a database of more than 1 billion job postings and career profiles. It operates in more than 30 countries with offices in the US, the UK, Canada, Italy, New Zealand and India.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.

Lightcast data is used in The Conference Board-Lightcast Help Wanted OnLine Index of job ads.
