Kelly Services (NASD: KELYA) sold its legal staffing business unit to Trustpoint.One. Kelly’s legal operations were branded as Kelly Legal Managed Services (formerly known as Kelly Law Registry), and the company had ranked seventh on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest legal staffing firms in the US.
The deal includes Kelly’s entire legal staffing division, and the company will no longer provide legal staffing, according to John Drew, VP and managing director of global managed solutions for Kelly Services.
“Resulting from this transaction, Trustpoint. One will serve as Kelly’s strategic partner in providing these solutions,” Drew told SIA.
The transaction closed Dec. 28; terms were not disclosed. Trustpoint. One can use the Kelly Legal Managed Services brand for no more than 12 months.
In addition to legal and IT staffing, Trustpoint. One provides legal services including eDiscovery, managed review, depositions and translations. Headquartered in Atlanta, it operates nationwide and counts more than 100 internal employees.
This is Trustpoint. One’s third recent acquisition; it acquired Alderson Court Reporting and Confluent Translations during the fourth quarter. With the Kelly acquisition, it will have about 150 legal staffing clients globally.
