Jaic (7073: TYO), a Japan-based professional services firm primarily engaged in education-integrated recruitment services, announced that its subsidiary Kakedas, which operates a career interview platform, announced the appointment of Miki Tomiya as CEO.
In addition to her appointment as CEO, she was also appointed representative director with effect from 3 February 2025.
After working in sales at House Foods Corporation and then working as a counsellor for job seekers at a recruitment agency, she joined JAIC, the parent company of Kakedas, in 2006.
In 2015, she was appointed head of the education business department and has a track record not only in training, but also in organisational development support such as employee retention and promotion of active participation, career autonomy, career formation support, and promotion of women’s participation. Before she was appointed CEO of Kakedas, she was an executive director of JAIC.
Kakedas operates a career consultation platform where employees of companies and individuals such as students can receive career consultations from nationally qualified career consultants under the mission of “building a consultation infrastructure”.
Under Tomiya, Kakedas will continue to strengthen orders for various projects using career consultants, such as career autonomy support, setting up career consultation desks, and providing a set with career training, mainly for large companies with more than 1,000 employees.
Jaic reported revenue in December 2024 for the first nine months ended 31 October 2024 of JPY 3.14 billion (USD 20.4 million), an increase of 14.9% compared to the same period last year.
