A federal court in California rejected a bid by Workday to dismiss a case alleging AI-powered screening software provided by the company is biased, Reuters reported. The ruling noted Workday could be considered an employer because it carries out screening functions on behalf of its clients who are employers. Reuters reported it is the first class-action case to challenge the use of AI screening software.
