Tokyo-based JSH, a provider of training and employment support services for individuals with disabilities, announced the acquisition of a 57.1% stake in Showtime 24, a company specialising in IoT-based (Internet of Things) unmanned viewing systems.
The deal is for JPY 50 million (USD 0.3 million) through 400,000 shares.
JSH said the acquisition of Showtime 24 will expand its business domain, diversify its revenue base and strengthen its business portfolio. The company plans to integrate Showtime 24’s problem-solving technologies to address challenges in rural areas, such as labour shortages, while creating added value to support regional revitalisation efforts.
“Through this share acquisition and subsidiary acquisition, we will combine the know-how of our company and Showtime 24 to create a new service,” JSH stated in a press release. “We will continue to provide these services and strive for further growth.”
