Danish job board Jobindex has acquired job board Ofir from North Media with effect from 6 January.

Jobindex group acquires all Ofir’s customer relations, content, advertising and user data on the site www.ofir.dk as well as 11 commercial employees. To ensure a smooth transition for the customers, Jobindex will continue to use Ofirs website, brand and logo during the transition period.

The price of the transaction was DKK 20 million (€ 2.7 million).

The companies said the acquisition strengthens the possibilities for recruitment and job placement in several areas.

Kaare Danielsen, CEO of Jobindex said in a press release, “Ofir has a strong position, especially in the public sector, and the merger of activities means a strengthening of Jobindex. At the same time, Ofir’s current customers will have access to a base of potential employees that is twice as large as the one they have today.”

Lasse Ingemann Brodt, CEO of North Media, said, “At Ofir, we are proud of what we have built up over the years. We recognise the good culture from our own company in Jobindex, so I am very pleased that it will be Jobindex that will carry our work forward.”

“The decision supports North Media’s ambition to be the market leader in the segments in which we do business,” Brodt added.

North Media develops and operates platforms for transactions that bring businesses and consumers together. These platforms help consumers find the right products, whether they are looking for groceries, rental housing, jobs or digital access management solutions.
